Wishin’ Well
Went out to the wishin’ well
But I went out to wish it well.
‘Cause each night and every day
While children frolic fast at play.
The well is wishin’ dreams come true
Thoughts and hopes of me’s and you’s.
But does it ever get the chance
To cast its wish or dare to dance?
What would it be; where would it go
when would it see; why would it grow?
If it could kiss; who would it tell
Terence, Trent or Anna Bell?
Oh wishin’ well for all you give
For all the life you wish us live.
For all the light and laugh and love
For us below and those above.
One last wish, please, if I may
For you I wish a rainy day.
And if no rain, I wish to cry
So wishin’ well—you won’t run dry.
